Easter Wreath

I have added a new wreath to my Etsy shop.  I added an Easter wreath with a wood Easter bunny on the wreath.  The wreath is made of light yellow mesh with blue wire ribbon.  Silk flowers have been added to the wreath and sparkling Easter eggs peak out from the mesh and flowers.  It's not to early to start thinking about Easter.  Click on the Etsy Mini on the right and see more description about the wreath.

Birthday Celebrations

It seems I have been away for quite awhile.  We had a wonderful celebration for my daughter's birthday.  I just can't believe how 17 years have flown by.  She woke up on her birthday with a candle on her pancakes and the den and kitchen all decorated for her.  I even had a wreath hanging for her day.  The day continued with cupcakes in her Animal science class and then on to Tryon for dinner at Sidestreet Pizza and cake.  I am so proud of Kaylin and the young lady she has become.  The day was great and ended on a high note with surprise gifts.
Thank you to Connie and Tom at The Bakery Off August for making her delicious cake.  You guys are amazing.

It Takes the Cake

Thank you to Connie Judd and Tom at the Bakery Off August for a fabulous cake.  If you are anywhere near Greenville, SC you must visit this bakery.  Kaylin had a wonderful celebration last night.  It was so nice to be surrounded by family and friends.  Each year of our lives carves us and makes us who we are.  Kaylin has had some years where more was carved than others.  Each good time and bad time has shaped her into a wonderful young lady.  I am so proud of the person she has become.

Happy Birthday, Kaylin

Seventeen years ago today, I was blessed with the greatest gift of all...my daughter.  Everyday since she has filled me with happiness and blessings.  Happy Birthday, Kaylin Lee Jones.  I love you!!!

Birthday Wreath

Last night, I completed a special order for a friend.  She ordered a birthday wreath for her daughter who will be 9 next month.  Lisa, had a picture of a wreath filled with balloons and I took that and decided to use the mesh, balloons, ribbon, and embellishments.  The balloons line the inside of the wreath while the mesh fills the outside.  I curled pipe cleaners and added them throughout the wreath.  Pipe cleaners, still a great crafting resource.  A party hat was added to the top of the wreath and Carly's initial at the bottom.
I hope Carly enjoys it!!!
I would love to make more birthday wreaths.  If you have a party theme let me know and I will create it for the theme.

A Woman's Prerogative: Change

Some say I just can't make up my mind.  Some say I'm a little ADD or fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants.  I just like to have fun.  Finally, I think that I have the blog template that I like.  It has taken awhile to find one that really fits ME.  I think that I am here.
I almost ended my blogging days because I couldn't find what I really wanted or suited me, but I am here now.
Keep checking back for more wreaths.  I am working on some tonight.
Be sure to check out Etsy.

Good Morning

Good morning to everyone.  I treasure this time in the mornings, but I wish that I would actually get up a little earlier to enjoy it even more.  It's a quiet, peaceful time where I can reflect on what my day is going to be like.  As a wife and a mother of a teenage daughter, I am never quite sure where we will end by the end of the day.  I attempt to plan the day for my personal life, but as most know it can change many times throughout the day.
As a teacher of 96 students, I feel I am a little more planned and organized, but teachers must be flexible and ready to change in an instant.  On that note, I have changed my plans for kids for today because tomorrow is the bid day.  Tomorrow is our Immigration Simulation Day and we have so much to prepare for tomorrow.
Now to the wreaths, I must find me a craft room.  We will be moving around March and we have so much to do, but the house we are moving to has a room I can set up for crafting.  I already have ideas and may work up there this weekend.  If you find any great ideas or bargains, I would love to know about them.  I will be working on wreaths tonight.  I still have a few more orders to complete and ideas for more, i.e. wine wreath, kitchen wreath, coffee wreath, etc.  Can't wait to get started.  Be sure to click on the Etsy Mini to see my shop.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!  Make it the best.

Mardi Gras

A dear friend of mine, Anne Garner, will be riding in the P3 Challenge to Conquer Cancer.  The P3C3 supports cancer research, outreach, and advocacy.  The ride begins in South Carolina and travels across the Southeast ending in my home state of Texas.I am so proud of Anne for her courage and strength to ride for such a great cause.  Anne will be joining her husband, Tedd for the ride, but they need our help.  Each rider must raise a minimum of $5000.00.  Therefore, the Garners are trying to raise $10,000.00 for the cause.
Doane August, Thirty-One Director, has offered 100 tickets at $10.00 each.  Each ticket gives you the chance to win a $250.00 gift certificate.  There will also be 2 $100.00 gift certificates and a $50.00 gift certificate from Thirty-One.  You do not have to be local to buy a ticket.
If you would like a ticket, please contact me through email at jlovello0126@gmail.com or leave a comment below.
If you have a Paypal account, you may send payment through Paypal to the email address:  jlovello@greenville.k12.sc.us.  Once I receive payment I will send you your ticket.
This is a great fundraiser for a great cause.  For more information on P3C3 click on the link below.

No Work for the Weary Tonight

I still have orders to complete.  I have almost completed the Mardi Gras wreath and the one I call the Coffee Wreath because of the colors.  A couple of other orders have come in and I will be working on them tomorrow.  Tonight has been a night of working on the computer to sell the wreaths I have completed.  Tonight has been a night of not feeling great and sitting and working on the computer was a night of rest.

Be sure and check out my Etsy Shop.  http://www.etsy.com/shop/dragonflieswreaths I have add several new wreaths to the shop.

Below are some of my recent and favorite wreaths.

What A Day!!

Wow!  What a day of creativity.  I was off today in honor of Martin Luther King.  I decided that today was my day to be creative and make my wreaths.  I still have so many ideas and can't wait to make them.  All of the wreaths below are for sale and will be on Etsy sometime tomorrow.  If you see one you like please contact me.

Morning Coffee

It's morning coffee time, and I made a new concoction to get my morning started right.  You must try the Peppermint Redi-Whip if it is still available.  I squirted some Pepperment Whip in the bottom of my cup and then poured the coffee over the cream.  Yummy!!!

Now, onto wreaths.  Today is a day for wreath making and getting caught up.  I have opened up an Etsy shop for purchasing wreaths.  Please take a look.  More wreaths will be posted to the blog later today.

More Friends

Luz is one of new friends that I have been so blessed to get to know.  She is a precious lady with a huge heart.  She now owns two of my mesh wreaths. The one below are for her dining table.  It is made of a bronze and gold mesh with animal print ribbon.  Thank you, Luz for your support.

Friends

I have thought a lot lately about my special group of friends that I have been blessed with in Greenville.  There always seems to be a reason why we are all brought together.  Anne is one of those friends.  I have known Anne for 5 years and I had the priviledge to teach her beautiful daughter for 2.  It was "fate" that we were to meet.  I know that God had a purpose for us to be there for each other through tragedies and celebrations.   I am so thrilled that Anne asked me to create three wreaths for a new home...a new home structurally and the family that lives there.  Thank you, Anne, for the opportunity.
